Yellow Fever Centre and Vaccinator Approval Process
The authorisation of Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres and Yellow Fever Vaccinator is a responsibility devolved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to national health authorities under the International Health Regulations 2005.
It is the responsibility of the Medical Practitioner to submit the application for approval/ renewal and all associated evidence to the Medical Officer of Health no later than 6 weeks prior to expiry of current approval.

Yellow Fever Vaccinator Approval Process

Immunisation Programme Administrator, Ministry of Health, sends approval letter to Medical Practitioner, informs Medical Officer of Health and Health Care Logistics. | 2 weeks before current expiry date | Programme Administrator, Immunisation, Ministry of Health. | Health Care Logistics release vaccine, Sanofi are the distributor. |

District Immunisation Facilitator completes cold chain accreditation (CCA) of Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre | 3 yearly | District Immunisation Facilitator | If CCA expires during the term of Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre approval the centre must ensure a copy of the new CCA is forwarded to the Medical Officer of Health. |
